Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BAU support and maintenance across customer environments.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives alongside other engineers and Technical Leads.
- Assist with solution development based on designs and documentation provided by Technical Leads, Architects, and Delivery Managers.
- Actively maintain and work towards technical certifications in relevant Microsoft products.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.
- Follow change control processes and ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
- Note: Responsibilities are not exhaustive the role holder may be asked to take on other reasonable duties as required.

- Strong problem-solving ability and logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Awareness of the commercial impact of technical decisions.
- Previous experience in a managed service or commercial IT environment.
- Familiarity with working under formal change control.
Technical Skills
- Windows Server (including Active Directory Domain Services, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, DHCP)
- Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) - AZ-900 required, AZ-104 desirable other Microsoft certifications a bonus.
- Microsoft 365 administration.
- PKI, Exchange, and related Microsoft infrastructure components.
- Exposure to scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Puppet, Docker, or equivalent).
- Experience with management and operational tooling such as anti-virus, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions.
- Bonus skills:
- Linux administration.
- Networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).
- Supporting bespoke applications and customer-specific services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, or vCloud, including administration and troubleshooting.
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates will be required to undergo NPPV3 and SC background checks as part of the role. These are completed after starting employment.
