School IT Technician – SEND School – Birmingham A good SEND school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced School IT Technician to join their team and support the day-to-day running of the school’s IT systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a School IT Technician with previous school-based experience who wants to work in a well-resourced environment with excellent facilities.The school supports pupils with special educational needs and places a strong emphasis on creating a safe, accessible and inclusive learning environment. As an IT Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring technology is reliable and effectively supports both teaching and learning across the school.Job Role:
  • Providing first-line and second-line IT support to staff and students
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software and network systems
  • Supporting classroom technology including interactive boards, laptops and tablet
  • Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls
  • Assisting with the installation and rollout of new hardware and software
  • Ensuring IT systems comply with safeguarding and data protection requirements
  • Working closely with external IT providers where required
You Will Need:
  • Previous experience working as an IT Technician in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and school networks
  • Experience supporting classroom-based technology
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
  • A proactive, organised and reliable approach to work
