Deployment Project Manager - EPOS / Till & Hardware)
Role Purpose
A leading High Street Retailer are seeking an Enterprise Deployment Lead (Project Manager) to lead end-to-end deployment of Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) into new stores and airport stores, covering both till software implementation and physical hardware rollout. You will own the deployment plan, coordinate multiple workstreams and vendors, and ensure stores go live smoothly, on time, and with minimal disruption.

- Hybrid work but client site and site expectation
- Initially a 6 month contract role (Day Rate) - Scope to Roll
- Rate - TBC - Happy to pay Market Rate and flex on Inside/Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Project Leadership
- Lead the planning and execution of EPOS deployments for new store openings (including airport environments).
- Own the deployment runbooks, rollout approach, cutover plans, and go-live checklists.
- Manage project governance: RAID, milestones, reporting, stakeholder updates, and escalation.
- Coordinate workstreams across Retail Operations, IT, Network, Security, Store Development, Suppliers/Vendors and airport stakeholders where relevant.
Relatable Required experience
- Proven experience as a Deployment Lead / Project Manager delivering EPOS/till rollouts in a retail environment.
- Demonstrable delivery of both software (till/EPOS) and hardware implementations.
- Experience deploying EPOS into new store openings (multi-site or repeatable rollout approach preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management across IT and retail operations, including third-party vendors.
- Solid project controls: RAID, plans, dependencies, cutover/go-live management, reporting.
- Comfortable working hands-on on-site when needed, including early starts/out-of-hours for go-lives.
