Location: South West base with regular UK & international travel
Salary: £60k base + OTE £80k–£100k (uncapped)
About the Organisation
We’re partnering with an established and fast-growing technology business operating across global commercial markets. Known for its high-quality engineered solutions and strong customer relationships, the organisation supplies to a diverse client base. As the company continues to scale its international presence, they are looking to appoint a Major Account Manager who will play a pivotal role in developing key global relationships and driving growth across existing and emerging markets.
The Role
This is a senior, relationship-driven role that blends strategic account management, consultative selling and long-cycle opportunity development.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of major accounts — both direct clients and channel/distribution partners — building strong, commercially impactful relationships. The focus will be on understanding complex customer environments, influencing stakeholders and securing high-value product opportunities.
Working closely with leadership, product, marketing and operations teams, you’ll help shape account strategy, support market expansion and ensure exceptional customer experience from first engagement through to delivery and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers
- Develop and execute long-term account plans to drive retention and growth
- Lead high-value negotiations and close six-figure product-based deals
- Influence distributor and reseller partners to adopt and promote product solutions
- Identify new business opportunities across operator groups and international markets
- Support tenders, proposals and commercial discussions
- Produce reporting, insights and analysis on account performance
- Provide market feedback to help inform product development and commercial strategy
- International travel (c10 weeks per year)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong B2B experience in major account management or strategic sales
- Track record of managing high-value (£100k+) deals with long sales cycles
- Confident operating within both direct sales and channel/distributor environments
- Skilled in consultative, relationship-led selling
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially astute, proactive and able to identify growth opportunities
- Comfortable working autonomously across multiple markets and time zones
