Role: Workforce Planning Manager in Transformation Programme
Contract Length: 6 months ext tbc
Location: either London, Lytham St Annes, Durham, Glasgow (2 days pw office based hybrid)
IR35: Inside
You will be paid PAYE for the length of the contract: approximately £383 per day TBC PAYE + accrued holiday + pension contribution
We are seeking a highly capable Workforce Planning Specialist to provide critical support to a large-scale transformation programme. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the organisation's future workforce, strengthening resourcing processes, and enabling effective decision-making across a complex, multi-supplier environment. This position requires strong analytical capability, professional stakeholder engagement, and the ability to operate with clarity and resilience in a fast-moving setting.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the organisation in identifying future workforce requirements and analysing workforce trends.
- Recommend and implement improvements to workforce planning processes and procedures.
- Assist the Business Support Office with contractor procurement and recruitment activity.
- Provide clear management information on staff resources vs. programme demand.
- Create capacity and capability plans and ensure new processes are Embedded into BAU.
- Support the resolution of staffing issues across projects and initiatives.
- Plan, schedule, monitor and report on activities across the programme's demand portfolio.
- Maintain and develop SharePoint lists, Power Automate workflows, and Visio organisation charts.
Key Criteria
- Experience working in a fast-paced transformation programme with multiple suppliers and external stakeholders.
- High adaptability, resilience, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Top technical skills:
- Advanced Excel & Power BI
- Visio (org charts)
- Power Automate & SharePoint workflows
- Strong ability to interpret workforce, capacity, and financial data.
- Excellent relationship building with Programme Managers, Team Leads and SLT.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in an operational, stakeholder-facing environment.
