Intune Engineer
Intune Engineer – 3-month contract
My Customer is looking for an experienced SCCM / Intune Engineer to support the BAU operation of SCCM while playing a key role in preparing and delivering a migration to Microsoft Intune.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable owning an established SCCM estate and has hands-on experience transitioning endpoint management to a modern Intune-based environment.
Required Skills & Experience from the Intune Engineer:
- Strong, hands-on experience supporting SCCM in a BAU environment
- Solid understanding of SCCM patching for desktops and servers
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Intune, ideally as part of a migration or rollout
- Experience migrating or rationalising Group Policies into Intune (Configuration Profiles / Endpoint Security / Settings Catalog)
- Good knowledge of Windows desktop environments and endpoint management best practices
- Experience with application packaging, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Ability to work across both BAU support and project-based work
Key Responsibilities of the Intune Engineer:
- Provide BAU maintenance and support of SCCM, ensuring stability and performance across the desktop estate
- Manage desktop device deployment, configuration, and support via SCCM
- Maintain and support server and desktop patching, where patching currently relies on SCCM
- Prepare the existing SCCM environment for Intune migration, including analysis and readiness activities
- Support the Intune implementation project, with a strong focus on application management and user experience
- Lead or contribute to Group Policy (GPO) to Intune policy migration, ensuring configurations are modernised and fit for purpose
- Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to support a smooth transition from on-prem to cloud-based endpoint management
