Salary: £35,000 per annum plus bonus and other Veolia benefits

Location: Hybrid working 2 days in our London HO N1 9JY.

What you'll be doing:

The Carbon Analyst plays a crucial role in providing the business with clarity and insight into GHG emissions data obtained from the operational activities of the business. You will be responsible for back-office development, interrogation and management of all data flows relating to GHG emissions under the management of the Group.

  • Carbon Data Analysis: Collect, validate, and analyse data to calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with recognised standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
  • Reporting and Compliance: Deliver accurate and timely carbon and energy reporting in line with SECR, TCFD, and other corporate disclosure requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to ensure accurate data collection and drive engagement with sustainability initiatives.



What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Good working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong experience using Power BI (or similar) for visualisation and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and data management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Degree in a numeric discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data for diverse audiences.

Desirable:

  • Proven experience working with environmental datasets (e.g. energy, emissions, resource use, or sustainability performance data).
  • Sound understanding of SECR, TCFD, and GHG Protocol methodologies.
  • Experience working in a sustainability, carbon, or environmental consultancy environment.
  • Understanding of broader sustainability frameworks such as CDP or SBTi.
  • Experience collaborating with business and operational teams to embed sustainability practices.
