Control System Engineer

Summary

Responsibilities:

• Experience programming with Siemens or Rockwell range of PLCs/HMIs / DCS / Drives
• Design, review, testing of control systems in accordance with company, customer and legislative requirements.
• Direct liaison with customers.
• Preparation and review of control system design, build and testing specifications and O & M manuals to the required standard.
• Design and testing of control systems in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards and legislative requirements.
• Onsite commissioning and testing of control systems while adhering to site regulations
• Review of the design and testing of control systems in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards and legislative requirements.
• Provide technical supervision of system design, build and installation personnel.
• Ensure that all-relevant Health and Safety Procedures are adhered to.
• Contribute to all business and health & safety initiatives including quality/safety/audits in line with current Legislative standards and Codes of Practice.
• Maintain company records and ensure the safe operation of all equipment to comply with current legislative and company standards.
• Continuously and proactively seek ways of improving the performance of internal systems to increase efficiency.
• Follow all relevant business procedures.
• Carry out other duties as required and appropriate to the role.
• Based on personal track record, be the recognised internal expert in several nominated technical fields.
• Mentoring and coaching of junior staff.
