About the Job

This position will play a key role in commercial and management accounting, supporting pricing strategy and financial operations across the UK and abroad. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you'll help ensure sound financial controls while also assisting with contractual and bid support.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting customer pricing and bids, including maintaining the price list and profitability analysis
  • Advising on financial terms in contracts, tenders, and statements of work
  • Delivering management accounts and forecasts for individual customer groups
  • Supporting tax compliance, audits, and financial process improvements
  • Assisting with global finance requirements, including foreign entity setup and cross-border tax matters
  • Overseeing transactional finance, including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, expenses, and payroll preparation
  • Contributing to VAT and R&D returns and monitoring licence usage
  • Leading or supporting two finance team members
  • Suggesting cost efficiencies and process enhancements
  • Assisting in audit preparation and supplier reviews

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong Excel capabilities, commercial awareness, and the confidence to work cross-functionally. You'll be detail-focused but capable of seeing the broader picture and comfortable presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
