2nd Line Support Engineer - Remote

Location: Fully Remote (occasional travel to client sites across London, Surrey & Hampshire)

You’ll act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line issues, tackle a variety of on-prem and cloud-based environments, and contribute to exciting infrastructure projects and rollouts.

• Providing advanced remote and occasional on-site support to SME clients.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues from other support tiers.
• Supporting, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server & Desktop environments.
• Managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and TCP/IP networking.
• Handling SSL certificates and Citrix environments (Virtual Apps, Desktops, and ADCs).
• Working with virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V, failover clusters, MCS, golden images).
• Administering firewalls (Cisco preferred), SAN/storage arrays, and backup systems.
• Participating in project work including migrations, rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong Windows OS, Server, and AD administration experience.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, DNS).
• Experience with virtualisation and storage solutions (Hyper-V, SAN, RAID).
• Knowledge of Citrix (ADC, VPX, Gateways, Load Balancing) a definite plus.
• Familiarity with System Centre, RDS, and backup/recovery tools.
• A self-starter attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
