API QA Automation - Cypress

£313 per day Inside IR35

Role Description:

Strong expertise in API automation and about 3-4 years of experience using Cypress/mainly Playwright Cucumber Framework for API & UI automation and Bruno for manual API testing. The ideal candidate will lead automation efforts, ensure high-quality delivery, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Create Test Strategy & Test Plan. This role also involves contributing to the Quality Guild for end-to-end (E2E) testing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright Cucumber (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Automate API's and integrate with GitHub Actions.
• Define and implement E2E testing strategies & Test plan for project.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards.
• Mentor team members and drive automation excellence within the Quality Guild.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Cucumber (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Proficiency in API testing tools (Bruno or similar).
• Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD, and best practices.
• Experience in E2E testing and quality governance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
