THE ROLE
This newly scoped Financial Controller position offers the opportunity to lead a small finance team and take ownership of month-end, controls, and reporting across six entities.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO, with exposure to M&A and PE-backed growth.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 finance staff
- Own month-end close, management accounts, and audit prep
- Strengthen controls and improve reporting processes
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams
- Contribute to strategic projects including M&A integration
- Support Head of Finance with commercial tasks as required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You’ll be a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical foundations and a desire to grow into a broader leadership role.
Mandatory
- Qualified accountant with 3–5 years post-qualification
- Experience producing management and statutory accounts
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Practice-trained or structured industry background
- Exposure to PE-backed environments
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Prior team leadership or mentoring experience
- Appetite for learning and professional growth

- Salary: Up to £65,000
- 30 days holiday + matched 5% pension
- Hybrid working: minimum 2 days in Glasgow office
- Quarterly travel to Nottingham offices (expenses covered)
