Technical Business Analyst Fintech

Location: Fully Remote (1 day per month in London, self-funded) Salary: Up to £70,000 + up to 15% bonus + 10% pension + 30 days holidayA fast-growing fintech organisation is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their cross-functional product and engineering environment. You'll work within a modern, data-led ecosystem that values analytical precision, strong technical understanding, and collaboration with engineers and product teams.The Role You'll join a team of 4 Business Analysts and 8 Product Owners supporting 8 Agile Development Squads engineering in PHP, Golang, AWS, and Python. As a Technical BA, you'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, data engineers, and product managers to translate business needs into logical solutions and technical deliverables.Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to extract and analyse data, understand complex business needs, and translate them into epics and user stories.
  • Contributing to data modelling and logical modelling to support scalable, data-driven systems.
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation, diagrams, and workflows to align business logic with technical delivery.
  • Supporting squads through sprint planning, backlog refinement, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Facilitating workshops to draw out requirements, challenge assumptions, and propose technical improvements.
  • Working alongside developers in PHP, Golang, and Python to ensure solutions are robust, secure, and cloud-ready in AWS.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong background in technical or data-centric environments, ideally from software engineering or data analytics.
  • Proven ability to work within Agile delivery teams and manage stakeholder expectations across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with data modelling, logical data structures, and system/process mapping.
  • Proficiency in translating technical insights into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with confidence presenting diagrams and workflows to senior stakeholders.
