Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Software Solutions Engineer to be a key part of our Egham team, representing proAV, playing a pivotal role in driving the successful adoption, ongoing enhancement and support of our internal software platforms, with a strong focus on user experience and engagement. This role is central to supporting the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of software solutions across the business—ensuring that both the company and its users gain maximum value from the tools in place.

Your primary responsibility (not limited to) will be to support and optimise our Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform, including system and data administration. Working closely with the Lead Software Solutions developer, you will deliver high-quality user support and training, maintain system integrity, set and champion best practices in data management.

Key Responsibilities

Key Objectives/deliverables for the Role:

  • Provide day to day support to end users, ensuring a “best experience” approach is adopted whilst training and supporting end users using Company software.
  • Plan and deliver software projects and changes. Owning or involved in all aspects from concept, design, scoping, roll out, end user adoption and support.
  • Create and deliver training, including training documentation – in collaboration with the training department. Supporting training efforts (formal and informal) and work to identify new opportunities to improve D365 usage.
  • System administration, ensuring accuracy and integrity of system configuration and system data. Reinforcing good data entry and maintenance practices by users.
  • Work with end users to create personal / department dashboards and reports (Both Dynamics and Power BI).
  • Support internal software change control, this will include, but not limited to:
  • Creating and administering change control tickets
  • Implementing approved changes
  • Attending scoping / delivery workshops
  • Supporting the Software Solutions Officer with minor system changes.

Support:

  • Provide D365 helpdesk services for both internal users and the D365 team.
  • Including associated solutions such as the Portal and Field Engineering App.
  • Create, manage and resolve support tickets, documenting all actions and solutions.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and solutions.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on issue status and escalate high-priority cases where needed.
  • Assist with testing for new implementations and system updates.

System Administration:

  • Assist with day-to-day platform administration including user management, security roles, views, dashboards, marketing lists, license assignment and configuration changes.
  • Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to plan and deploy system enhancements and updates.
  • Participate in system improvement discussions and suggest enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft and Dynamics technologies through ongoing learning.

Data Administration:

  • Develop and implement data quality standards, validation rules, and entry protocols.
  • Conduct routine audits to identify and correct duplicates and inconsistencies.
  • Work with business stakeholders to implement data retention policies and optimize storage.
  • Maintain a strong focus on ensuring data integrity across all integrated systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining data quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to run and deliver training sessions, a team player who can work cross-functionally across various users and departments.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics would be a distinct advantage, including
  • Power BI
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Basic understanding and or an active interest in:
  • Programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python and SQL.
  • AI and machine learning
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP)
