IT Technician Apprentice
We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join our team while completing a Level 3 IT Apprenticeship. This role is ideal for someone with a basic IT background who is eager to learn, develop hands-on skills, and grow into a well-rounded IT support engineer.
Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to clients via phone, remote tools and on-site visits
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Help set up and configure PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices
- Support Microsoft 365, email and basic cloud services
- Carry out routine IT checks and basic maintenance tasks
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required
- Maintain clear notes and documentation for support tickets
- Deliver friendly, professional service to clients at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
- Some form of IT background (education, college course, self-study, work experience or hobbyist experience)
- Willingness to learn and complete a Level 3 IT Apprenticeship
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Good understanding of computers, Windows, and common software such as Microsoft Office apps, Adobe & Chrome etc.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Any IT qualifications or ongoing studies
- Basic knowledge of networking or Microsoft 365
- Customer service or client-facing experience
- Interest in cybersecurity or cloud technologies
Training
- Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
- Bi-weekly live training sessions delivered remotely by your ICT Tutor
- We are looking to offer full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
