Programme Manager
Our client is an industry leading employer with head offices in Ipswich, and due to a sustained period of change are looking to recruit an interim Programme Manager. As a Programme Manager, you will lead the charge in delivering complex, strategic programmes. This position offers the unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on delivery, ensuring that every initiative brings measurable business value and sustainable outcomes.
This is a day rate contract offering with the predominant base being in Ipswich, but with hybrid and flexible working. Initially with more time spent in HQ, but potentially less as the assignment matures.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Programme Leadership
- Design and deliver strategic programmes in alignment with business priorities.
- Shape programme objectives, scope, and success measures with executive stakeholders.
- Track and report progress against KPIs and strategic outcomes.
2. Delivery Management
- Oversee integrated planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple workstreams.
- Manage programme budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Implement risk, issue, and dependency management processes.
3. Stakeholder and Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Facilitate clear communication and effective decision-making.
- Lead steering committees and programme boards.
4. Technical Oversight & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts.
5. Change and Innovation
- Drive process automation and digital transformation.
- Champion customer experience enhancements.
- Oversee change management, communications, and training.
Candidate Profile
- Specialist Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of programme management principles, governance frameworks, and financial control. Certification in PRINCE2, MSP, or Agile delivery is a plus.
- Relevant Experience: 8+ years in delivering large-scale transformation or technology-enabled programmes .
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Additional Requirements: A passion for sustainability, customer experience innovation, and operational excellence is essential.
