Senior IT Business Analyst, Insurance

Senior IT Business Analyst is required to join a leading insurance organisation based in the City. This is a pivotal role supporting some of the most visible and strategically important initiatives across the business, with immediate involvement in international expansion programmes.

Joining a busy, high-performing change and technology function, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, internal teams and third-party delivery partners to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions. This role would suit a hands-on, technically strong Business Analyst who is comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-profile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a senior IT Business Analyst on complex, high-visibility insurance programmes
• Translate business needs into clear, structured technical requirements and documentation
• Work closely with internal business analysts, technology teams and third-party vendors
• Support delivery across international and multi-jurisdictional initiatives
• Operate effectively across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies
• Contribute to high-quality analysis outputs with minimal rework
• Build strong, credible relationships with senior stakeholders across IT and the business

Experience & Skills Required

Essential

• Minimum 5+ years’ Business Analysis experience
• Proven experience working within an insurance company
• Strong understanding of the insurance value chain
• Demonstrable experience within MGA and Lloyd’s Market operating models
• Strong technical IT Business Analysis capability
• Experience working with third-party delivery vendors
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Critical Soft Skills

• Calm, composed and credible presence in stakeholder and interview settings
• Able to explain complex technical concepts in clear, non-technical language
• Structured, concise and logical in approach
