Management Accountant

A leading technology and data analytics platform servicing the Insurance market are hiring for a Management Accountant to join their team. The role plays a key part in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support strong business performance and informed decision-making.

You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and financial reporting, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and enhance transparency. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will collaborate with central finance, audit, tax, and legal teams to ensure robust governance, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information.
  • Support the development of budgets and forecasts across revenue, costs, headcount, and CAPEX.
  • Deliver clear variance analysis and insightful commentary to support management decisions.
  • Regularly review expenditure to identify risks, cost efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of financial processes and reporting across business units.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and SOX controls.
  • Partner with business and finance teams to provide financial insight, ensure consistency in reporting, and support day-to-day finance operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar finance role
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Solid understanding of management accounting principles, performance analysis, and variance reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and actionable management information
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems

Salary on offer is £50k + bonus and benefits.
