ICT Apprentice

We are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to help our teams across multiple sites with day-to-day technical support. This role is hands on, varied and often reactive – no two days are the same. You’ll support users across the organisation whilst learning the basics of IT. 

You will learn how to:

• Support the IT manager with the monitoring, maintenance and development of all IT support systems, including servers, PC’s, operation systems, hardware, software and peripherals
• Act as first point of contact for IT problems across several sites
• Troubleshoot common problems such as slow computers, printer issues or software errors
• Assist with user account management, including password resets and access requests
• Escalate complex issues to the IT manager when necessary
• Update IT equipment records for all sites
• Coordinate cyber-security e-learning by sending reminders, tracking completions, and supporting staff who need help accessing the training
• Promote simple cyber-security steps, (e.g. strong passwords, spotting suspicious emails)
• Follow IT policies, security guidelines, and data protection guidelines
• Complete apprenticeship training and take part in on-the-job learning
