ICT Apprentice
We are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to help our teams across multiple sites with day-to-day technical support. This role is hands on, varied and often reactive – no two days are the same. You’ll support users across the organisation whilst learning the basics of IT.
Role
You will learn how to:
- Support the IT manager with the monitoring, maintenance and development of all IT support systems, including servers, PC’s, operation systems, hardware, software and peripherals
- Act as first point of contact for IT problems across several sites
- Troubleshoot common problems such as slow computers, printer issues or software errors
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access requests
- Escalate complex issues to the IT manager when necessary
- Update IT equipment records for all sites
- Coordinate cyber-security e-learning by sending reminders, tracking completions, and supporting staff who need help accessing the training
- Promote simple cyber-security steps, (e.g. strong passwords, spotting suspicious emails)
- Follow IT policies, security guidelines, and data protection guidelines
- Complete apprenticeship training and take part in on-the-job learning

- The successful candidate may be chosen to have a full-time role after completing their apprenticeship
