Role : IT Support Engineer

Location : Ormskirk

Work pattern : Office based with client visits

Salary : £29,000-£35,000

Driving licence is essential for this role.

This growing team is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working directly with users to deliver excellent support.

The role offers a balance of helpdesk responsibilities and on-site client visits, providing opportunities to build strong relationships while developing technical skills. The successful candidate will join a friendly, social, and supportive team where ideas are valued, and contributions make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support via helpdesk, phone, remote tools, and on-site visits.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, cloud migrations, and server support.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure and telecoms systems.
• Deliver excellent customer service and help maintain strong client relationships.

Key Skills

• Experience working in a 1st/2nd Line role within an MSP environment.
• Hands-on experience with installations and network builds.
• Possesses strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktop and server environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and general server administration.
• Understands networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, firewalls, and Wi-Fi technologies.
• Experience supporting and configuring Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD.
