Help Desk Administrator
Our client, a leading national company within the IT sector, are looking to recruit an organised, professional and efficient Help Desk Administrator to join a technical team proving support to a UK wide client base. As the first point of contact for day-to-day IT queries, supporting hardware, software, systems access, and general administration within the IT function. A hands-on role with plenty of scope to learn, develop, and contribute to wider IT projects.
Reporting to the IT Manager key responsibilities include:
• Provide first-line support for IT issues via phone, email, and ticketing system
• Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
• Support Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and other business applications
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure equipment is tracked and updated
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external partners when required
• Contribute to system upgrades, security improvements, and IT documentation
As a successful candidate you will have previous experience in an IT support or IT administration role would be desirable with an understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking. Excellent communication skills a calm, customer-focused approach, highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively. Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.) are beneficial but not essential.
