We are recruiting a Hardware System Sizing Engineer to support next-generation automotive powertrain and electrified vehicle development. This role focuses on mechanical engineering, powertrain hardware sizing, and vehicle system integration across hybrid (PHEV/MHEV) and electric propulsion programmes.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Leading powertrain hardware sizing aligned to vehicle attribute requirements and market performance demands.
Analysing benchmarking data, competitive powertrain systems and emerging propulsion technologies.
Delivering mechanical integration of powertrain components within complex vehicle systems, ensuring correct mechanical and power supply interfaces.
Working closely with software, electrical, calibration and vehicle integration teams to define system requirements for hybrid and electrified architectures.
Contributing to the design and development of future propulsion technologies, including advanced hybridisation and electrification solutions.
Must-Have Skills
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, powertrain systems, propulsion architectures and hardware analysis.
Hands-on experience with powertrain sizing, performance analysis or mechanical sizing for automotive applications.
Ability to interpret and apply benchmarking reports and market data.
Strong project management, planning and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical delivery.
Good-to-Have
Previous experience in Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Hybrid (HEV/PHEV/MHEV) powertrain sizing or mechanical integration.
Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 powertrain suppliers.
