Sales Team Lead
My Client is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team Leader to build, mentor and scale a high-performing outbound and inbound pipeline generation team within the cyber security SaaS market.
This is a hands-on leadership role you will both lead from the front and manage performance, driving qualified opportunities into the enterprise and mid-market sales teams. The successful candidate must have prior cyber security industry experience and a proven track record managing SDR/BDR teams in a SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Coaching
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of SDRs/BDRs (typically 4–10 reps)
- Run weekly 1:1s, call coaching sessions and performance reviews
- Build onboarding, enablement and ongoing training programmes
- Foster a high-energy, accountable, and collaborative sales culture
Pipeline Generation
- Own top-of-funnel pipeline creation targets
- Design and optimise outbound cadences across email, phone, LinkedIn and events
- Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, messaging and MQL conversion
- Personally handle strategic or high-value accounts where required
Performance & Operations
- Track KPIs: activity, conversion rates, meetings booked, pipeline value
- Manage CRM hygiene and reporting (Salesforce/HubSpot or similar)
- Analyse performance data and implement improvements
- Forecast pipeline contribution for senior leadership
Strategy & Market Positioning
- Help refine ICP, personas and messaging for cyber security buyers (CISO, SOC, IT Security, Risk & Compliance)
- Support ABM and partner-led initiatives
- Provide feedback from prospects to Product and Marketing teams
Required Experience
- Essential: Experience working in the cyber security industry (SaaS vendor, MSSP, or security technology provider)
- Experience leading or mentoring SDR/BDR teams
- Proven success in outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
- Strong understanding of modern sales engagement tools (Salesloft, Outreach, HubSpot, etc.)
- Experience selling to technical and security stakeholders (CISO, Head of Security, IT Directors)
- Strong coaching and performance management capability
- Data-driven mindset with CRM reporting experience
Desirable
- Experience in high-growth SaaS environments
- Knowledge of security domains (e.g., SIEM, XDR, IAM, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence)
- Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market sales motions
- ABM or multi-threaded deal engagement experience
