1st Line Helpdesk Technician
1st Line Helpdesk Support Analyst Location: Barnsley Salary: up to £28,000
Elevation Tech & Transformation are recruiting on behalf of one of our key clients in Barnsley, who are looking to strengthen their IT Support function with a motivated 1st Line Support Analyst.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their IT career who enjoys problem-solving, working with people and developing technical skills in a fast-paced business environment.
You will act as the first point of contact for IT support across the organisation, providing high-quality customer service while resolving technical issues and supporting users with their day-to-day technology.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering responsive and effective 1st line IT support, ensuring users receive timely assistance and that issues are resolved efficiently or escalated appropriately.
Key areas of focus include:
- Acting as the initial contact for IT-related queries via phone and ticketing systems
- Accurately recording, categorising, and prioritising incidents and service requests
- Diagnosing and resolving common technical issues, escalating where required
- Supporting users with hardware, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Providing assistance with Microsoft Office and standard business applications
- Supporting internal systems used across the organisation
- Maintaining clear communication with users throughout the support process
- Creating and updating documentation to improve future issue resolution
