We're partnered with a leading tech organisation at the forefront of Generative AI innovation, hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to help build the infrastructure, workflows, and systems that bring cutting-edge LLM research to life.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and build tools, methods, and infrastructure to advance large language model development
  • Collaborate with researchers to identify and solve weaknesses in agent-generated code
  • Develop scalable frameworks for annotation, training, and model experimentation
  • Apply agentic design principles to improve LLM reasoning, autonomy, and reliability
  • Work hands-on with Python, LLMs, and LLaMA models, running experiments and optimising performance
  • Be responsible for procuring and managing your own coding environment (e.g., Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab)

Key Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in Machine Learning / AI (LLMs, data mining, recommendation systems, or pattern recognition)
  • Proven hands-on experience with LLM agents and generative AI systems
  • Strong Python skills, with experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Familiarity with agentic design principles and LLaMA-based architectures
  • Advanced debugging & problem-solving ability
  • Experience running large-scale ML experiments and managing compute environments
  • Master's (or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field

Bonus:

  • Research track record (e.g., publications, Kaggle Master)
  • Backend (APIs) + frontend (React/JavaScript) experience for annotation tools

Contract Details:

  • £400 - £525 Per Day (Outside IR35)
  • 6–12 Months (Likely to Extend)
  • Remote – UK Based
