Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced, proactive Senior IT Support Engineer (3rd Line) to join our Corporate IT team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who thrives on solving complex issues, improving systems, and supporting a large-scale enterprise environment. You’ll be joining a collaborative team and working closely with colleagues in IT Service Desk, IT Engineering, Governance, Security Operations, and Security Engineering.

What will you be doing day-to-day?

  • Acting as the escalation point for 1st and 2nd line IT teams, providing fast and effective 3rd line support.
  • Monitoring and managing alerts across our Corporate IT infrastructure to ensure maximum performance, security, and availability.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and preventing repeat issues through decisive remediation.
  • Sharing knowledge and completing technical handovers to support continuous team improvement.
  • Leading patch management and remediation activities to keep systems secure and compliant.
  • Taking part in an out-of-hours on-call rota to ensure 24/7 IT service availability.
  • Supporting internal and external audits relating to infrastructure, processes, and compliance.
  • Managing SSL certificates and ensuring secure communications across key services.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience with modern Windows client & server OS, MS Office, Azure RDS, M365 (Email, Teams, OneDrive), and Microsoft Intune.
  • Patch management and remediation experience (Ideally Ivanti Shavlik).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt to different audiences.
  • Ability to prioritise under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and confident working independently or collaboratively.

What do we offer you?

  • At Gamma, we believe in work–life balance, which is why we offer 25 days of annual leave, plus an extra day off for your birthday. We also provide a volunteer day so you can support a charity close to your heart.
  • Family matters to us, too. With enhanced maternity and paternity pay, we support you as both a parent and a professional.
  • Our contributory pension scheme helps you plan for the future, with Gamma increasing contributions based on your level.
  • Your wellbeing is a priority. We offer group income protection, life assurance (4x salary), and private medical insurance through Vitality—which extends to your immediate family.
  • We want everyone here to share in our success, so we offer tax-efficient share save and share incentive plans.
  • And because we care about the planet, we offer an Electric Vehicle scheme through Octopus and a Cycle to Work scheme, making sustainable travel easier than ever.

A few things to note

  • Unfortunately, we cannot offer visa sponsorship or relocation support for this role.
  • This role will be based hybrid from our Newbury, London or Manchester office.
  • If you don’t meet every requirement but feel you’d be a great fit, we still encourage you to apply — you might be exactly who we’re looking for!
  • Gamma is an equal opportunity employer. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone can be their authentic selves. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on any protected characteristic. We are a family-friendly employer built on trust, autonomy, and flexibility.
  • Recruitment agencies: We work with a small, trusted group of partners and are not looking to extend this network. Please avoid sending speculative CVs.
