Infrastructure Project Engineer
A leading Managed Cloud provider is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Project Engineer to deliver customer migrations and onboarding to their core platform. You’ll own the full project lifecycle — scoping through to cutover and handover — and work closely with an established projects function to deliver smooth, well-planned change for new and existing customers.
You will be the technical lead during customer transitions, ensuring services are delivered securely, cleanly, and without disruption. This isn’t a heavy data-centre build role, but you’ll regularly work across firewalls, VMware, storage and backup environments to ensure cloud readiness and performance remain stable post-migration.
Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding and migration delivery for new customers moving to the cloud platform
- Deliver change, upgrades and renewals for existing cloud customers
- Oversee platform integration and DC touchpoints across firewalls, VMware, backup & storage
- Produce accurate documentation, handover packs and transition guides
- Act as senior escalation point and contribute to process improvements
- Support delivery assistants and share best practice within the projects team
Skills & Experience
- Proven customer migration / project delivery background
- Strong Microsoft stack exposure (Windows Server, AD, M365)
- Virtualisation experience (VMware & Hyper-V)
- Confident working across firewalls, storage, backup and cloud platform foundations
