A data-driven business is expanding its analytics capability and is hiring an Analytics Engineer to help modernise its data platform during a period of growth. This role is focused on turning raw data into well-structured, reliable datasets that teams across the business can confidently use. You’ll help shape how data is modelled, surfaced and accessed, working closely with analysts and stakeholders to reduce friction, improve trust in numbers, and support better decision making at scale.

The role:

• Build and maintain core analytics datasets that sit behind reporting and insight
• Develop and improve data pipelines to make data more reliable, accessible and scalable
• Reduce manual effort across analytics workflows through automation and smarter tooling
• Work with stakeholders to understand how data is used and design models that reflect real business needs
• Help evolve the analytics platform so teams can answer questions independently through self-serve BI
• Put structure around data quality, ownership and reliability through testing and monitoring
• Contribute to shared standards, documentation and repeatable patterns across the data function
• Continuously refine the data stack, bringing new ideas and improvements as the platform matures

Your skills and experience:

• Strong experience working in analytics engineering or similar data-focused roles
• Confident writing SQL and building transformation logic in tools such as dbt
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker
• Experience designing analytics-ready data models rather than raw ingestion pipelines
• Understanding of how modern cloud data platforms support reporting and decision making
• Comfortable partnering with analysts and business users to translate questions into data structures
• Proactive, detail-focused approach with a bias toward improving how things work
• Collaborative mindset and interest in helping teams get more value from data
