Loans Support Analyst - Contract - Investment Banking - London

A leading global financial institution is seeking a Loans Support Analyst to join its Finance & Product Control function on a contract basis. This role focuses on loan trade life cycle accuracy, systems reconciliation, and supporting both Front Office and finance teams within a fast-paced investment banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Systems Reconciliation
- Manage daily reconciliations between WSO (Wall Street Office) and Murex for loan trades and positions.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding issues and escalate aged breaks where required.
- Ensure life cycle servicing events (eg, paydowns) are accurately captured in WSO.
- Review and validate new trades, ensuring correct booking and downstream processing.
Front-to-Back Coordination
- Liaise with Front Office, Trade Support, Operations, and WSO teams to address restructures, amendments, and booking issues.
- Perform independent calculations of delayed compensation for daily P&L accruals.
- Review settlement and pricing memos, highlighting discrepancies.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous experience working in a professional office environment.
- Hands-on experience with WSO is essential, knowledge of Murex highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of secondary loan market products.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams
