Title: Data Business Analyst
Duration: 6 months
Location: London but open to Cardiff, Salford, Glasgow etc.
Hybrid: 1-2 days required in the office, along with occasional travel to other client sites as required
Essential
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets.
- Proven experience in financial modelling, including building models from scratch.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in scenario planning, financial forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
- Ability to think creatively and "outside the box" to solve problems and optimise processes.
- Solid financial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
- Strong communication skills to present insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with poorly structured data and improving data quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to effectively delegate, manage your own time and prioritise accordingly.
- Able to simplify complex problems into component parts and deal with them systematically.
- Significant experience in one or more data scripting language (such as Python, R or SQL) or tooling relevant to the specifics of the role
- Proven experience developing relationships and managing needs of senior stakeholders at Director level
