Role: 1st Line IT Engineer

Location: London (on-site with client visits)

Salary: Up to £30,000

Our client, a leading managed services and connectivity organisation, is hiring a 1st Line IT Engineer to support a diverse client base across London. This role offers the opportunity to build strong technical foundations within a fast-paced MSP environment while working closely with customers and internal teams.

What you’ll do

  • Provide 1st line remote and customer-facing IT support
  • Take ownership of incoming service desk tickets through to resolution
  • Troubleshoot issues across desktops, servers, firewalls, and networks
  • Support Microsoft environments including Office 365 and Exchange
  • Maintain accurate documentation, time logging, and incident records

You’ll work closely with service desk colleagues, senior engineers, and customers to ensure issues are resolved in line with SLAs and customer expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a service desk, MSP, or ISP environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, basic server concepts, and networking (TCP/IP)
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and desktop support (Windows/Mac)
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in developing technical skills
