2nd Line Support Engineer

This role is onsite 5 days a week. The role is out of town and thus you will need to be a driver to access site.

My client is seeking a proactive 2nd Line Support Engineer who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being part of a tight-knit IT team.

The Role

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you’ll act as a critical escalation point, supporting users across a broad technology stack. You’ll work closely with users, take ownership of issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line technical support across desktops, laptops, servers, and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents efficiently and professionally
  • Support Microsoft technologies including Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Intune
  • Assist with system maintenance, upgrades, and deployments
  • Document fixes, processes, and best practices
  • Get involved in projects and day-to-day IT operations beyond traditional support

About You

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support or similar IT support role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working across a broad range of technologies
  • A team player who thrives in a close-knit, fast-paced environment
  • Willing to take ownership, show initiative, and learn new skills

You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to speak technology to non technical people.

You MUST be eligible to work in the UK and possess excellent communication skills.
