People Compliance and Vetting Administrator
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
• Supporting with compliance and vetting checks for all new starters, current employees and TUPE employees as required
• Using the Sterling screening platform to initiate compliance and vetting checks, monitor their progression, and liaise with Sterling to address queries or delays, ensuring all checks are completed accurately and in line with SOPs.
• Completion of vetting checks in line with legal requirements and client guidelines, ensuring all applicants have the correct proof of identity, right to work, references, proof of address and any other required documentation to complete necessary checks
• Being diligent and proactive regarding chasing any outstanding documentation required in line with SOP chase processes
• Processing ad hoc reporting requests from the business or legal bodies for audits.
• Updating HR systems such as SAP, personnel files and trackers with personal data and documentation.
• Establishing the requirement of additional vetting checks based on sector and site knowledge.
• Responding to internal and 3rd party information requests, drafting and issuing letters.
• Liaising with managers and stakeholders to provide advice and training on compliance. • Identifying and reporting on risks and incomplete checks
• You will ensure the health and safety of all colleagues within the business and report any incidents via the approved company processes
• Escalation of non-standard queries or risks to SLAs to Line Manager or relevant business head.
• Cross training in all areas of Compliance to assist in covering absence & holiday.
• Management of all SOPs relating to processes within the team and identifying areas of improvement.
• Ad hoc administrative requests requested by Line Manage
Essential Criteria:
• Demonstrable interest and understanding of HR and compliance
• Administration experience
• Strong IT and communication skills
• Ability to grasp new systems quickly
Desirable Criteria:
• Experience of using SAP
• Experience of using ticketing system
• Knowledge of regulatory bodies and their measures
