We're supporting a well-established organisation in Northampton as they look to hire an experienced IT Procurement Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you'll shape procurement strategy, optimise supplier performance, and play a key part in the organisation's IT transformation and growth plans.

Location: Hybrid – 1 day a week onsite in Northampton

Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits

The Role

As the IT Procurement Manager, you'll be responsible for all technology procurement across software, hardware, cloud services, licensing, and IT suppliers.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, IT leadership, finance, and external partners to ensure the organisation gets maximum value while maintaining compliance, continuity, and cost efficiency.

This is a strategic and hands-on role—perfect for someone who enjoys full lifecycle ownership, from negotiating contracts to shaping long-term vendor strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement for all IT categories, including software, hardware, cloud, SAAS, networks, and managed services
  • Manage supplier selection, onboarding, negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews
  • Develop and maintain the IT procurement strategy in line with business and technology needs
  • Ensure value for money, operational efficiency, and contract compliance
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, reduce spend, and improve commercial terms
  • Partner with IT and Finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and licensing management
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and influence decisions
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and category insight

About You

  • Proven experience in IT procurement, ideally across software licensing, cloud, and managed services
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing complex suppliers and multiple contracts
  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset with the ability to challenge when needed
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of procurement frameworks, best practice, and governance
  • A collaborative way of working with the ability to influence and build trust
