Apprentice Engineering fitter (electrical)
You will initially gain an understanding of key electrical components while working with them hands-on for eight weeks in our stores facility. You will then be assigned to various electrically skilled staff to acquire the skills necessary to become a qualified panel builder.
Role
- Assembly techniques
- Fitting and wiring electrical components
- Understanding wiring diagrams
- Crimping cables, torquing bolts

Training
- 39 hours per week Monday to Friday. Worked as 8.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 5 hours Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet specific customer requirements. College hours within the normal working week will be classified as work hours and paid at the full rate.
- Training will be be at Bridgwater & Taunton College.
- Level 3 Engineering Fitter qualification - path specific and professionally recognised with IET for Eng Tech.
