Engineering Manager (Mobile)
We are seeking a driven Engineering Manager to lead the development and ongoing improvement of a new entertainment app for iOS and Android. You will oversee the app's technical direction, ensure seamless integration with backend systems and related products, and guide a cross-functional, hybrid development team. Success in this role requires strong technical leadership, effective people management, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-focused mobile experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Contribute to technical design, drive engineering initiatives, and influence product strategy.
- Ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of new features and improvements.
- Act as the primary liaison with Product, Design, and other engineering teams.
- Communicate progress, priorities, and vision clearly to stakeholders.
- Maintain strong operational health through effective agile practices and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Strong engineering background with significant experience managing native mobile teams, ideally across both iOS and Android.
- Ability to cultivate collaboration within distributed teams.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and hands-on coding experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of iOS and Android ecosystems, including defining tools, processes, and workflows for high-quality app delivery.
