IT Support Engineer
We are recruiting on behalf of our client in the Lincolnshire area. The client Established in 1856, our client is one of the UK’s oldest and most respected law firms, offering top-tier legal and wealth management services. With a strong presence across Lincolnshire and the Midlands, they have earned recognition as a Top 200 Law Firm.
The Opportunity
As part of ongoing growth and digital transformation, the firm is now looking for a talented IT Support Engineer to join their expanding IT team. This is a key role supporting staff across multiple office locations, helping to maintain and enhance the firm’s robust technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver professional, personable IT support across the business

Identify and resolve IT issues—both remotely and onsite

Install and maintain desktop, server software and hardware
-
Manage proactive server and desktop maintenance
-
Assist in development and implementation of new infrastructure projects
-
Conduct in-depth troubleshooting for advanced issues
-
Create user-friendly support documentation and assist with training
-
Support the day-to-day operations of IT systems across all sites
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Knowledge:
-
Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent
-
Working knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/19/22 & Hyper-V
-
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), Microsoft 365 & Exchange
-
Understanding of TCP/IP and experience with both wired & wireless networks
Skills & Attributes:

Excellent verbal and written communication

Strong relationship-building skills
-
Friendly, approachable and a team player

Able to work under pressure with strong organisational skills

Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (with business insurance)
Desirable Experience

Degree in Computing or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, etc.)

Exposure to Azure and IPVPN technologies
