Head of Reward and Benefits
We are partnering with a fast-growing technology business who are seeking a Reward & Compensation Manager to lead and shape their total reward strategy.
This is a permanent role offering £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, with hybrid working (approx. 1 - 2 days a week)
This is a standalone position within a dynamic People team, reporting into senior leadership and offering clear progression potential including international exposure as the business scales.You will design and deliver a total reward framework that supports attraction, retention and engagement across the business. You will lead on compensation design, benefits strategy, incentive programmes and benchmarking to ensure pay and rewards remain equitable and competitive. You will also have one direct report which helping to build best-in-class practices across reward, recognition, and benefit communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive total reward approach aligned to culture and business strategy.
- Design and update pay structures, salary models and reward policies.
- Lead compensation review cycles, incentive planning and benchmarking exercises.
- Partner with Finance and People teams to balance reward effectiveness with budget.
- Oversee payroll accuracy and governance of reward systems.
- Build and evolve benefit programmes, recognition initiatives and total reward communication.
- Prepare reward reporting including gender pay and taxable benefit summaries.
- Use data and analytics to inform decisions and demonstrate reward impact.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience developing and delivering total reward strategies, ideally within a tech or high-growth environment.
- Strong knowledge of pay structures, job evaluation methodologies and market benchmarking.
- Track record in managing compensation cycles and benefit reviews.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to build compelling business cases.
