Description
The key responsibilities for the Deskside Support Engineer are:
- Provide on-site technical support to resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets logged through the IT support system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the wider technology team to implement IT projects and upgrades.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate recurring issues to relevant teams for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful Deskside Support Engineer should have:
- Proven experience in an IT support or similar role within the business services industry.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience in using and supporting IT ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
