Business Analyst

Your Company: NET Recruit is helping an organisation appoint a Business Analyst on a temporary basis. A key component of this programme is the implementation of a new HR Target Operating Model, in which a new Employee Portal will become the primary interface for the vast majority of employees to access HR services.This role will sit within the project team responsible for designing, building, and implementing the Employee Portal, working closely with the Business Project Manager and a range of internal stakeholders and delivery partners. You will play a pivotal role in shaping requirements, optimising processes, supporting user-centric design, and ensuring the solution is ready for successful adoption across the organisation.Your Roles and Responsibilities While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Leading the delivery of, or playing a pivotal role in, a defined project workstream as part of the wider Employee Portal programme
  • Supporting project decision-making through business analysis, including data analysis and validation of assumptions
  • Eliciting, validating, prioritising, and documenting business requirements using appropriate techniques and stakeholder engagement approaches
  • Supporting user-centric design activities, including journey mapping, sentiment analysis, and other tools to understand and improve the employee experience
  • Mapping and optimising processes using recognised approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement techniques
  • Producing high-quality project artefacts, including requirements specifications, process maps, user stories, training materials, transition plans, and supporting documentation
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and defect resolution by defining test scenarios, preparing test scripts, logging and tracking defects, and helping prioritise remediation actions
  • Contributing to change management activities by helping assess change impacts, readiness, and adoption considerations across operational teams
  • Coaching and supporting business-as-usual (BAU) resources assigned to project workstreams, helping build capability and consistency in delivery
  • Building and leveraging strong stakeholder relationships (e.g., Technology, HR Shared Services and other internal teams) to influence decisions and support successful implementation
What You Will Need To Apply: Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • Proven track record working as a Business Analyst on technology-enabled HR transformation programmes
  • Demonstrable experience working with technology delivery partners or system integrators to implement HR systems or solutions
  • Expertise in at least one Business Analyst specialism (for example, business process analysis, requirements engineering, solution design support, or similar)
  • Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
  • Strong resilience and experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environments
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and structured documentation (e.g., BRDs, process maps, traceability matrices and related analysis outputs)
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence in presenting findings, progress updates, and recommendations to a range of audiences
