IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer Colchester, Essex (Hybrid) £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

We're partnered with a forward-thinking business in Colchester who are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their growing team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work both on-site and remotely, providing a mix of 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support as well as field-based support to a varied client base.

What you'll be doing:

• Delivering 1st & 2nd line technical support via the helpdesk and on-site visits
• Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining IT equipment and systems
• Providing excellent customer service to end users, ensuring minimal downtime
• Escalating complex issues to senior engineers where required
• Supporting field-based projects and site visits as needed

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in an IT support/helpdesk role
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and networking fundamentals
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence (for field support)
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
