Role

As an experienced Sage 200 Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting bespoke solutions tailored to customer needs. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, create functional specifications, produce high-quality code, and ensure smooth delivery of tailored Sage 200 enhancements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing user requirements and advising on bespoke capabilities
  • Designing and developing custom Sage 200 modifications and integrations
  • Producing clean, well-structured code in line with internal standards
  • Creating custom reports and delivering end-user training where required
  • Managing your own workload, providing accurate estimates and regular progress updates
  • Supporting existing bespoke applications and investigating customer queries
  • Occasional customer site visits (where necessary)

Person

You will be an experienced Sage 200 developer with a strong track record of building and supporting bespoke solutions. You’re proactive, detail-focused and confident working directly with customers to understand requirements and shape technical outcomes.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven experience developing bespoke solutions for Sage 200
  • Strong proficiency in VB.NET
  • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Good communication skills and an ability to create clear documentation
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines

Desirable experience:

  • Sage Intacct or Sage 50 Accounts development
  • C# development skills
  • Working with APIs, integrations and remote access tools
  • Good accounting knowledge
