The Trust has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to work within the contracts and procurement team which sits within the IT digital health section.
You will be based at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, but the Trust has a flexible approach to working arrangements. The contracts and procurement team currently has 4 staff, so you will be joining a close knit team. As part of this team you will be working with staff at all level across the Trust. Training and support will be provided for the successful candidate and there is further development opportunities once in the role.
We're looking for individuals with a passion for service improvement and the motivation to succeed. Being able to communicate effectively is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate and give examples of their experience within their supporting information relating to the essential criteria outlined on the job description.

Main duties of the job
The main duties are:
Responsible for the purchasing of digital hardware and software including processing user requests, creation of purchase requisitions, confirmation of deliveries and processing of invoices
Responsible for maintaining and developing the Product Catalogue of standard IT equipment including regular pricing updates
Responsible for maintaining an effective system of filing and document retrieval for the Contracts and Procurement department
Evaluate options relating to quotations from suppliers to determine best values using a range of factors such as cost, availability, procurement route
