Fibre Project Manager - FTTP Build Projects

Looking for an experienced Fibre Projects Manager living anywhere around the South Wales - Reading - Worcester area, to be responsible for FTTP / FTTC projects on behalf of Openreach in this region.

Main Purpose of the Role

  • Manage and oversee fibre installation projects in accordance with agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and client-specific processes (e.g. Openreach).
  • Identify project resource needs and secure required internal/external support.
  • Maintain control of administrative functions supporting your area, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal and client reporting requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date project records in internal systems for reporting and client updates.
  • Communicate project priorities clearly to engineers and subcontractors to maintain progress.
  • Mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Openreach SLAs and any penalty frameworks.
  • Escalate delivery issues or risks proactively to ensure resolution before escalation.
  • Drive performance and service delivery excellence across all fibre projects.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Previous experience in fibre project delivery—ideally on Openreach or similar telecoms contracts.
  • Excellent IT skills—especially Outlook, Excel, and CRM/project management platforms.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and coordination skills.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, compliant installations with a safety-first approach.

Experience Required

  • Experience in delivering fibre projects (FTTP/FTTC)
  • Understanding of PIA, civils, and fibre network installation standards.
  • Familiarity with NRSWA, CDM, and H&S regulations in telecoms.
  • Experience of managing subcontractors and field teams.
  • Strong knowledge of fibre infrastructure and build methodologies.
  • Comfortable working at heights or within civils environments (desirable).
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Salary will be int the region of £48 - £52K basic + vehicle option (Van, Car or Allowance).
