Business Development Manager Telecoms
Exciting Opportunity to Drive Growth and Build Relationships Salary £45K-£50K basic plus 40% ote
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for our client’s London metro market sales team, focused on selling datacentre connectivity and related services. Ideal candidates will have worked with companies like Neos Networks or City Fibre and have a background in the global telecom sector, particularly Carrier/Wholesale and Enterprise markets.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing existing customer relationships, as well as seeking out new business opportunities. You’ll play a crucial part in growing revenues, closing deals, and expanding our client’s footprint across EMEA and the US sales region. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week spent in their City office.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of established customers, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement.
- Proactively prospect for new business in both existing and new accounts, leveraging your industry connections and relationship-building skills.
- Drive monthly bookings and sales, ensuring targets and KPIs are achieved.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline, consistently seeking fresh opportunities to expand our client base.
- Attend sales networking events to connect with industry leaders, foster new partnerships, and generate leads.
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions tailored to client requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the Telco industry; experience in Carrier/Wholesale and Enterprise sectors a plus.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and winning new business.
- Familiarity with the London metro marketplace preferred.
- Skilled in social selling and proficient in platforms like LinkedIn and Salesforce.
- Ability to hold CIO-level meetings and deliver impactful presentations.
- Strong communication skills and a talent for driving bid responses for RFPs.
