People Systems Implementation Lead

Portsmouth Water is looking for a People System Implementation Lead to support our ERP upgrade to IFS Cloud on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll play a central role in delivering our new people system, ensuring smooth integration with current processes, accurate data migration, and strong user adoption. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help keep the project on track, manage risks, and resolve issues as they arise. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact during a key period of transformation. While the core responsibilities are outlined here, tasks may evolve in line with business priorities and project needs as we continue to modernise our systems and ways of working.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate IFS Human Capital Management (HCM) module functionality against People team key process requirements.

• Prepare the People team for the adoption and integration of HCM as part of the relevant business readiness assessment framework to help ensure successful project outcomes.

• Ensure the People team configuration and delivery plans remain in alignment with the wider company ERP IFS cloud upgrade.

• Lead communication between People team and other stakeholders to manage any risks and resolve issues promptly through to go-live.

• Assist with data cleansing, migration, and data quality validation activities in accordance with GDPR and other data protection regulations to achieve a recognised 'single version of the truth' for all People team data within IFS HCM.

• Review test scenarios, agree test coverage and scripts to ensure they align with People team requirements.

• Help implement user access controls and permissions within IFS Cloud, maintaining system security and compliance across multiple user groups.

• Collaborate with the Solution Integrator to review training needs and deliver blended learning solutions to the People team and end-users.

• Capture management information reporting requirements and validate solutions such as dashboard reporting in PowerBI.

• Deploy change management and people engagement techniques to help stakeholders adjust to any digital transformation considerations.

• Provide ongoing support to the People team and troubleshooting after go-live, gathering feedback and implementing continuous improvements.

What do you need?

Skills, Qualifications & Competencies

• Proven experience and capability of managing, developing people management systems including the interface with payroll and benefits, time and attendance, and all aspects of the employee lifecycle

• Considerable experience of successfully designing, testing, and configuring people systems to support business policy and process including self-service and workflow functionality

• Expert information gathering and software, system requirements elicitation skills

• Proven ability of working with stakeholders to successfully deliver system change and digital transformation initiatives

• Capable of delivering training support to ensure the successful implementation of UAT programmes

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to deliver an enhanced customer experience

• Excellent collaboration skills and working as part of a high performing team

• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills to manage a complex and varied workload

• Advanced levels for attention to detail, analytical and methodical

• Excellent IT Skills to include intermediate to advanced level usage of Microsoft Excel
