About the role:

Your specific role provides essential support to the Business Analysis team by actively participating in meetings, shadowing senior analysts to gain insights into best practices, and assisting with documentation such as reports and presentations.

The role involves facilitating communication between stakeholders and the BA team, contributing to continuous improvement efforts, and helping maintain internal resources like templates and tools. The position also supports change management initiatives and coordinates BA activities across multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring smooth collaboration and effective delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • User support and training: Support delivery of training sessions or knowledge-sharing workshops when needed. Assist with user queries and provide guidance on application functionality, during Early Life Support and to 2nd / 3rd line support.
  • Documentation & reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and logs.
  • Continuous improvement: Support process mapping and analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaboration & project support: Assist in gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements. Help maintain requirement traceability and ensure alignment with business objectives. Participate in solution validation activities, including functional testing and user acceptance testing. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure accurate understanding of requirements and deliverables.

Essential skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.

Additionally the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Exposure to business analysis tools (e.g. Visio, Freshservice).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Basic project management skills, including task tracking and progress, understanding of project lifecycles and phases, awareness of risk, issue, and change management processes and supporting project planning and scheduling activities.
  • Experience supporting or participating in Quality Assurance (functional testing and user acceptance testing).

Entry requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification plus 12+ months of work experience
  • A business-related degree (e.g. business, finance, economics, maths)
  • A non-business-related degree plus 6+ months of work experience
  • Existing staff with 2+ years of relevant work experience

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
