IT Support Apprentice

In this role, you’ll support clinical and non-clinical staff by helping set up, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of devices and applications. You’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals who will support your development and help you build strong technical and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff across the organisation
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Set up, maintain, and configure devices including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Support essential healthcare systems and applications
- Ensure adherence to best practices around data security, patient confidentiality, and compliance
- Contribute to maintaining smooth and efficient IT operations
Desirable skills:
- Enthusiasm for IT and technology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A proactive approach and positive attitude
- Ability to work well within a team
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
Non-standard entry with work experience:
Relevant qualifications and/or work experience will be considered for applicants with potential to benefit from the programme.
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Thursday – in the office, Friday – working from home
