IT Support Engineer Apprentice

We're looking for an IT Support Engineer Apprentice to join our dynamic IT team. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced environment, supporting our internal users and infrastructure. Responsibilities:
- Providing user support and resolving technical issues
- Creating and managing accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware and software
- Managing software licenses and hardware inventories
- Performing updates and patch management
- Supporting data backups using Backup Exec
- Assisting with IT procurement and budget tracking
- Supporting users with Apple devices (iPhones and Macs)
- Maintaining clear documentation and updating support tickets in line with IT policy
Desirable skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 and macOS environments
- Interest in or experience with Apple devices
- Good organisational and time management skills
- A proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Friendly, approachable, and patient when dealing with user issues
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Open to feedback and committed to personal development
Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:
40 hours per week, 7am - 4pm or 9am - 6pm
